Surgery Appointments

calendarIMPORTANT - If you are cancelling an appointment via the email system you MUST give 48 hours notice (excluding weekends and bank holidays). Otherwise you should contact the Surgery by telephone in the usual mannner.

If you have several problems to discuss please ask to book a double appointment.

There are several types of appointment available.

Routine - Bookable up to 6 weeks in advance. Approximately 40% of our appointments can be booked in advance.

On the day  - These appointments are available on the day from when the doors open i.e. 7.30 am Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and from 8.00 am on Monday and Fridays, or from 8.30 am if contacting the Surgery by telephone. Approximately 60% of our appointments are on the day or bookable after midday.

Afternoon appointments  - Some appointments are held back for the afternoon. These are bookable from 12 noon.

Urgent appointments - These are for medical emergencies only and are always available.

Extended hours - These appointments, which are available once a week, are early morning and later in the evening. These are for routine matters or for blood tests and are for booking at least 48 working hours in advance.

If you contact the Surgery you will be offered an appointment within 48 hrs and usually on the same day with a doctor or nurse practitioner.
